A Letter to My Husband

IMG_0923_face0

This is not a devotional. This is a big fat thank you to a devoted husband. He does not know this is coming. But he subscribes to my blog, so he will see it:-)

Babe,

Thank you for everything this week! Thank you for turning an ultrasound into a really fun date and a shopping trip, and a lovely lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Thanks for buying weird foods at Whole Foods just because I said, “That looks good…” By the way, I made a big mistake on the blueberry maple sausage. Never again! And thank you for how you cared for me during our procedure the following day. Having you there was enough. Having you pray over me, hold my hand, dress me from head to toe afterwards, and make me laugh the whole time is more than I deserve.

We’ve been together almost 7 years, and I am still falling in love with you. You make it impossible not to. You truly care for me like I am extension of your own body and soul. You are patient and kind. And when you love on the boys, my heart melts. Thank you for teaching Kaden fractions 33 seconds after you wake up in the morning. Thanks for taking the boys on donut dates and trips to the IMAX Theater. Thank you especially for taking them to church. Thank you for raising your hands to praise God so Jackson will have that godly, manly example of worship. That will never leave him, even if it looks like he is napping during the service.

You have no idea how much I love you. Moreover, I respect you more than anyone I know. I am convinced that there is not anything you are not good at! You are truly an amazing husband! I am not sure how or why God saw fit to put us together, but as always He has exceeded my expectations.

I just wanted to say that you are a good man, and I love you like crazy…and I always will.

Forever yours,

Kris
